If something is not working, start with the first section. After that: what one upload gives you, what each plan lifts, and what happens to your artwork along the way.

Something isn't working

Etsy rejected my ZIP, or I put my files in Photos
Etsy's Photos section takes pictures, not ZIPs. Put your print ZIPs (or the JPEGs inside them) in the listing's Digital files section. The room mockups and the Listing Kit images are the pictures: they go in Photos.
My upload was refused
Uploads are JPG, PNG or WEBP. A file over 50 MB is re-encoded in your browser before it uploads; if that fails (a very large file on a phone can), re-export it as a JPG at quality 90 and try again, with no visible difference. If it says you are uploading a lot in a short time, wait a minute and try again. AI Upscale has its own smaller input limit of 10 MB.
It says I have no free packs left today
Free includes 2 Size Pack or Perfect Fit runs and 5 Quick Exports a day, and both reset at midnight UTC (the app shows the time in your own timezone). Quick Export and room mockups still work after your last pack; Pro and Max have no daily cap.
Mockups says my export has passed its mockup window
Mockups are built from the finished files inside an export, and an export stays available for mockups for about an hour. Run the pack again and mockups are one click away.
I got three mockups, not ten
A full pack is 10 rooms. On Free your first pack is the full 10 and later runs are 3. On Pro the first 5 packs each month are full and runs past that are 3. Max is always 10.
My saved set says my image is landscape and the set is portrait
A saved size set remembers its orientation, and the app holds back the export when the artwork does not match. Use Reframe to the set's orientation, or save a second set in the other orientation.
A size is missing from my saved set (A0, 24×32)
A0 and 24×32 are too large for a pack, so they are single-size exports: use Quick Export. 24×36 does fit a saved set.
Processing is taking a while, or the download link has not appeared
A large file or several packs at once can take 10–30 seconds. Free runs two jobs at a time and paid plans run seven, so on Free the rest of a five-pack selection waits its turn rather than failing. The download link appears with the “Done” status; failures show an error rather than hanging, and the same file will usually go through on a second run.
Something else went wrong
Reload the page and try once more. If it happens again, use Contact us inside the app and tell us what you were doing; a person answers.

What you get

What do I get from one upload?
Every standard size across five ratio packs, a single size on its own, your own saved size set, or ten room photos of the finished piece — whichever the listing needs. Size Packs covers every standard Etsy ratio: 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, ISO A-series, and common sizes like 5×7, 11×14 and 13×19, in portrait, landscape or square. Every file is 300 DPI, named, and packed into a ZIP.
How is this different from resizing in Canva or Photoshop?
In Canva or Photoshop you set up every size by hand: change the canvas, decide how the artwork fits, export, rename, and repeat for each ratio. SnapToSize does all of it from one upload. Every Etsy size comes out at 300 DPI with your whole artwork kept and shaped around your subject, named with its size and packed into ZIPs ready for your listing.
How fast is it?
Fast. One upload gives you a full ratio pack in moments, rendered at 300 DPI, named and zipped. Done by hand in Photoshop or Canva, the same set of sizes usually means hours of resizing, exporting and renaming.
Can I choose what stays in the frame?
Yes. Perfect Fit, and the Reframe option in Quick Export and My Packs, let you choose the crop yourself: your artwork's proportions are kept and the edges outside your frame are trimmed. Size Packs works the other way: it keeps your whole artwork in every size, with nothing cropped. Perfect Fit and Size Packs are both on every plan.
What are the room mockups?
Your artwork placed into room scenes, as a set of ten. They arrive in the order a listing wants them — hero first, then a scale frame, then a close-up, then rooms — and they are numbered, so slot one stays slot one when you download them. If a room does not suit the piece, swap it for another. Once a set feels right, save it — the next artwork you upload can run straight into that same room combination.
What does AI Upscale do?
It adds resolution to a small file so it holds up at large print sizes. It is the way in for artwork that came out of an AI tool, or that started life smaller than you would like. The master it produces opens straight into Size Packs, Perfect Fit or Mockups with your artwork already loaded, so you never upload the same piece twice.
Can SnapToSize make my listing's size chart image?
Yes. The Listing Kit makes a size-chart image and a "How to get your print" image (2000×2000 PNG) with your shop name, logo and colours. It is free on every plan and needs no upload. Find it in the app as Listing Kit.
What is My Packs?
A size set of your own. Choose the exact sizes you sell, save the set, and every future artwork runs through it in one click — useful once your shop has settled on a shortlist rather than the full ratio packs.
Can I save my favourite rooms and reuse them?
Yes. After a Mockups run, press Save as room set above the finished mockups and name it. Next time, choose your artwork in My Room Sets and those rooms are one tap away. My Packs saves your sizes; My Room Sets saves your rooms. Free saves 1 room set, Pro 5 and Max 25.
Can I show three prints in one room?
Yes. Set of 3 puts three prints side by side in one room, started from Mockups. Three prints side by side in one room. Preview on any plan; creating the set is on Max.
Can I make square prints?
Yes. Size Packs has a Square tab with the seven 1:1 sizes, 5×5 to 24×24, in one ZIP. Most artwork is not square, so you choose the crop in Perfect Fit 1:1; for one square size, use Quick Export.
What file quality and DPI do I get?
Every file exports at 300 DPI, the professional print standard, and each ZIP is built to stay inside Etsy's 20 MB limit.
Do exports have a watermark?
No, on every plan. What you download is what your buyer receives. The paid plans lift how much you can run, never the quality of what comes out.
Can I use the files commercially?
Yes — the print files and the room mockups both. Everything you export is yours to sell, and the mockup images are licensed for commercial use in your listings.
Can I still use mockups on Etsy after the October 2026 update?
Yes, for digital prints. Etsy's October 22, 2026 update doesn't ban mockups: digital downloads are listed as an exception to the new unedited-photo rule, and Etsy asks them to include a preview of what buyers receive. Keep the mockups true to your file and add a preview of the artwork itself. Our guide to Etsy's AI and mockup rules, linked below, quotes each rule.

How your files are made

How does SnapToSize fit my artwork to each size?
Each size is shaped around your subject. SnapToSize finds the main subject of your artwork, then makes most of the shape change in the background and quieter areas, so the part buyers look at changes less. Your whole artwork is kept and nothing is cropped. Size Packs, My Packs and Quick Export's Whole artwork option work this way. When a size already matches your artwork's shape, or the change is too large for this method, the file is scaled evenly instead.
Does SnapToSize use AI on my artwork?
Yes, in two places. When resizing, an AI model only locates your subject; the resizing itself is geometric, and nothing new is drawn or added. AI Upscale is different: it uses an AI model to enlarge small files, and the extra detail it adds is created by that model.
Does SnapToSize work with AI-generated art?
Yes. SnapToSize works with any artwork, whether you painted it, drew it or made it with an AI tool. AI Upscale is built for exactly that last case: files from tools like Midjourney or ChatGPT often come out too small for large prints, and AI Upscale takes them up to print resolution.
Will my existing packs change?
No. Files you've already downloaded stay as they are. Anything you make from now on in Size Packs, My Packs and Quick Export gets subject-aware sizing automatically. There is nothing to switch on.

Plans

How does the free plan work?
Free is a working plan rather than a demo. Every day it gives you 5 Quick Exports and 2 Size Packs or Perfect Fit runs, with 3 room mockups on every mockup run — and your first mockup pack is the full 10. It also includes 3 AI Upscales a month and one saved size set. Files are 300 DPI with no watermark, so anything you make on it is ready to sell. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
What do Pro and Max add?
Pro lifts the daily ceilings: unlimited Quick Exports, unlimited Size Packs and Perfect Fit runs, 10 room mockups per run with 5 full mockup packs a month, 10 saved size sets, and 100 AI Upscales a month. It is $8.08 a month billed yearly at $97, or $14.99 monthly. Max lifts the monthly ones: no cap on mockup packs, unlimited saved size sets and unlimited AI Upscale, at $13.25 a month billed yearly at $159, or $24.99 monthly.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from Manage subscription on your billing page, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Moving between plans is prorated there, so what you have already paid is credited rather than lost. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Do you offer refunds?
The free plan has no time limit, so you can try everything before you pay. If a paid plan turns out not to fit, your first Pro or Max payment is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. Renewals after that are not refunded.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Open the app and upload — the free plan runs without a signup and without a card. An account is only needed when you want to save size sets or move to a paid plan.

Files and formats

What image formats can I upload?
JPG (also called JPEG), PNG and WEBP. Working in TIFF, PSD, HEIC or PDF? Save or export a JPG or PNG copy first. For the largest print sizes, start from the highest-resolution file you have — and if it is smaller than you would like, run it through AI Upscale first.
How large can my file be?
Files up to 50 MB upload as they are. In Size Packs, Perfect Fit, Quick Export and My Packs, a larger file is re-encoded in your browser before it uploads, so even very large masters usually go straight in.
How long are my files kept?
Your artwork stays yours. We use it only to make the files you ask for, and your uploads and the files we make are deleted automatically within 7 days. AI Upscale works the same way: our upscaling partner processes your file for that one job and deletes it shortly after. If you save a room set, we keep a small preview of the artwork with it until you delete the set.

Etsy and beyond

How do I get the files onto Etsy?
In your listing editor, open the Digital files section and upload the ZIP straight from your downloads, or extract it and add the individual JPEGs. Etsy allows five files per digital listing, and Size Packs gives you five ratio ZIPs, so one listing can carry every size. Every ZIP is built to stay inside Etsy's 20 MB limit, and the filenames carry the size in inches, centimetres and pixels — so your buyer knows what she has without opening anything.
Is this only for Etsy?
The sizes and ratios are shaped around what Etsy buyers order, but the files are ordinary JPEGs. They work anywhere you sell — Shopify, Gumroad, Creative Market, Payhip, or your own site.
Does SnapToSize connect to Etsy directly?
No. You download from SnapToSize and upload to Etsy yourself. That keeps your shop credentials out of it entirely, and leaves you in control of what gets listed and when.
Is SnapToSize affiliated with Etsy?
No. SnapToSize is an independent tool built for Etsy sellers, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy, Inc.
